SolarEdge Technologies Inc. is a provider of power optimizers, inverters and monitoring devices for the photovoltaic (solar) industry. SolarEdge products aim to increase energy output through module-level Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) optimization. It was established in 2006 in Herzliya, Israel and currently has offices in the United States, Germany, Italy, and Japan. Their US office is located in Fremont, California where they provide training, installation support and warranty replacements to the installers, homeowners and business owners using their products.

SolarEdge HD-Wave technology is specifically designed to work with power optimizers offering a record-breaking 99% weighted efficiency and panel level monitoring. HD-Wave inverters are easy and quick to commission directly from a smartphone using the SolarEdge SetApp.

Installation & Troubleshooting Guide

Read manual with handling and safety instructions before installing any SolarEdge equipment. During installation, testing and inspection, adherence to all the handling and safety instructions is mandatory. Failure to do so may result in injury or loss of life and damage to the equipment.

Warranty & UL Certificate

SolarEdge inverters and optimizers come with integrated arc fault protection and rapid shutdown for NEC 2014 and 2017 compliance. SolarEdge products are UL1741 SA certified for CPUC Rule 21 grid compliance.

Firmware

SolarEdge firmware versions were released to SetApp packages on November 11th 2019 for all SolarEdge SetApp enabled inverters. To verify the version is updated on the inverter after the upgrade process, connect with SetApp to the inverter and verify the firmware versions in the Information screen match the table above. Improvements included in this version will apply only after the version is updated on the inverter. This requires connecting to the inverter’s Wi-Fi and performing an upgrade.
